No. Showering is not necessary before or after cryotherapy, because the whole procedure is dry and does not make your skin wet. Many clients come by on their lunch break, since the entire treatment is only 3 minutes long.

People with conditions like hypothyroidism, tuberculosis, respiratory diseases, heart conditions, nervous system diseases and blood diseases, among others, face a greater risk of side effects, and some can be severe or dangerous. The risk is also greater for people over 65, people with substance abuse problems, people with emotional disorders, and anyone with known problems tolerating cold.

Yes. Cryotherapy is not advised for anyone who is pregnant, has severe unmanaged hypertension (BP over 180/100), has a cardiac pacemaker, is being treated for cancer, has deep vein thrombosis, acute or recent myocardial infarction, uncontrolled seizures, fever, unstable angina pectoris, Raynaud's syndrome, cold allergy, acute kidney and urinary tract diseases, or open wounds or ulcers, or is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Every XR Cryosauna holds a complete list of health contraindications that each client must review and acknowledge before every session.

If the user does not follow instructions, the worst outcome is frostbite. That is why hands and feet must always be covered with warm gloves and boots.

Localized cryotherapy applies precision cooling to a specific area rather than the whole body. The XR ISO is our handheld device for it, used for pain management, sports recovery, aesthetics and cryo facials.

Yes. The operator touchscreen shows live cabin status for the entire session, and the hardware carries thermal imaging, a pulse sensor, a door alarm, an emergency stop and a fail-safe unlock.

It is connected, and it watches every session. The XR has Wi-Fi connectivity, modular technology and a mobile build, and it monitors oxygen levels, head position, pulse and temperature so it can signal a shutdown when something is wrong.

Two fingerprint authorizations are required to operate the XR: one from an approved operator and one from an approved user. Trained operators have passed a certification safety test, which is saved under their fingerprint.

It keeps the user's head above the liquid nitrogen. The head proximity sensor is a key safety feature of the XR: if the head drops below the top of the chamber, the chamber promptly shuts off.

No. An operator is required for every session. The operator and the user must both be signed in before the session proceeds, and the operator has to keep pressing “continue” when prompted.

The chamber ships with an operator touchscreen with fingerprint sign-in and live cabin status, thermal imaging, and cloud management and membership software behind it.

Every machine carries a 3-year fix-or-replace warranty, top to bottom. Cryo Innovations warrants your XR to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for three years from the date of delivery to the original purchaser, and during that period will repair or replace, at its discretion, any defective system or component. The warranty transfers to a new owner within the 3-year period, provided Cryo Innovations is notified 30 days before any transfer of equipment.

Usually not. The unit is built modular, so anything that could malfunction can be mailed out immediately and swapped with ease. Otherwise we replace the chamber, and in certain instances we send a technical representative.
